Today going "Green" takes on a whole new meaning. Most bride and grooms are older and techno savvy. But when it comes to their wedding they might not know where to begin. Begin Here, and check back often as we update this list with the latest trends and tips!

  • Use local and seasonal flowers and greenery for decorations and bouquets, instead of transporting from far away. Look for "Fair Trade Certified", "USDA Organic", and "Veriflora" labels when buying flowers.
  • Transport guests in environmentally friendly vehicles
  • For invitations,use soy or vegetable based inks; hand made papers; hand pressed real flowers for embellishment
  • User pure organic cotton linens, never plastic. Look for bamboo linens and napkins, as well as garments. It is hypoallergenic and allows your skin to breathe.
  • Toast with local wines and microbrews (local items require less packaging and shipping)
  • Food waste is the 3rd largest waste category after Construction and Paper Waste. Give leftovers to a Food Bank.
  • Guests can honor the couple by giving a donation in honor of thier marrige; choose an eco-charity, or a children's cause, or the couple can thank thier guests by making an donation in thier honor
