I miss you! I was so used to talking to you all the time :) I am sure you are super busy with all of the summer weddings. But if you have some time in the next couple of weeks, I'd love to take you out to lunch and show you our proofs! They look great - I don't know how we are going to be able to pick 80 for our album - there are over 800 of them!
I just can't thank you enough for the amazing job you did with our wedding. Throughout everything you maintained a fun, positive attitude and you were so patient with us! I'm so thankful that you were such a big part of our wedding. Thank you again for everything!

Meet Andrea Solomon

A terrific wedding planner can be an invaluable addition to your wedding "team." She (or he) can be a wellspring of great ideas, guide you to the best vendors, help you stay on budget, shield you from the inevitable wedding-day stress, and be a wonderful combination of mom, best friend, MOH and therapist.

There are many wedding and event planners here in the Metro Detroit area, and in my opinion, Andrea Solomon is one of the best. I first met Andrea last year when we photographed Jenni and Dan Sterling's wedding and I was immediately impressed. The entire day was as smooth as silk -- beautifully choreographed and expertly executed -- and I noticed that Andrea never stopped smiling and never seemed to lose her sense of humor. When one of my brides tells me that Andi is her coordinator, I know that the wedding will be a treat!

Andi is (yet another!) graduate of MSU and had originally planned to become a teacher. At the time, there were few teaching jobs available, so she worked in another field until she married and had children of her own. At a playgroup with her second daughter, she met someone who suggested she look into becoming a wedding planner. She found someone to train with and her career began.

She has now been in the business for over 15 years.
"I really, really enjoy sending brides down the aisle," she says.
"I love to see the look on their face, that one last smile, the tear in the corner of their eye...as they take that one last breath... just before I open the door."

Andrea has been married for 25 years (to the same man, BTW -- brava!), has three daughters and a full family life, and offers full-service wedding and event planning. You can get invitations, maps, calligraphy, save-the-date cards and just about anything else that you can think of from her. She also dispenses loads of good, down-to earth advice. (I have recently been the beneficiary of some of it myself!) I asked Andi to share some of her advice with you and she was happy to help. Come back tomorrow -- and be prepared to take notes!

Now that the wedding is over I wanted to take time to say thank you! I can’t even imagine how the wedding would have taken place without you!! Thank you for everything –all that you did for all of us! Thank you for your patience too! Thanks to you I truly did not worry or stress out Sunday! I’ve two more girls yet to marry and I know you’ll be the first call once they get a wedding date!! Again, thank you for all of your assistance and guidance!

Where do I begin to thank you for all you did for us? We truly could not have done it without you. The party was beautiful. My friends and family will be talking about Natalie and Julie’s Bat Mitzvah “Party in Paradise” for a long, long time. The girls and I are forever grateful to you.
